you is kind, you is smart, you is important.

"the help" was another movie i absolutely adored!! this might be on the top 10 list..... we'll see. i think i really loved it because i had also read the book. talk about courage. i love me a strong female lead. one with curly hair and a height similar to mine, and i can relate. in this case, three of them. this movie had its funny moments, the moments where you start crying, and the moment when you just really wish the actors were right there so you could give them a hug.

not to mention i just about died with all the vintage. *sigh.* the clothes, the houses and furniture, the housewares, and even the drug and grocery stores were to die for. everything back then just seemed so much more charming than things today. i'm not gonna lie, i'm kind of obsessed with the 50/60s. there is a scene in a grocery store where you see a shelf with different bug sprays, etc on it, and i am weird enough to smile at the charming little 60s style labels on bugspray. bugspray. that's me, in a nutshell.

even the bathrobes (on the right) had style back then. i mean, look at the scallops. to die for.

don't forget, you is kind, you is smart, and you is important. xoxo.
