We watched the documentary The Pixar Story a few days ago in my computer art class, and it was so inspiring. I've always loved Pixar... When I was younger, I saw a video of their studios, where everyone got to decorate their offices as they wished and traveled from point A to point B on scooters. That's when they won me over for sure! But in all seriousness, it's really fascinating --- they articulate over and over again that they run things that way in order to promote "unexpected collaborations" between their artists. That belief and priority is at the core of the operation, if you will.
Anyway, it's just truly fascinating and inspiring. And it makes me want to read Steve Jobs' biography. Seriously. When he believed in a project, like Pixar, it's amazing to learn how many millions he invested, loss after loss, because he had vision and could see a much bigger picture.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. People are truly amazing.
I'll have to check that out! I'm always looking from something lovely and inspiring to watch, read or listen to! Thanks for sharing!

Hey! I saw that you were looking for the purple Sorel boots, as I dont know where you live Im not sure if this will be much of a help for you but I purchased mine from this Danish online shop: http://www.pro-outdoor.dk/shop/sorel-1964-premium-399442p.html However I suppose it will only be helpful if you actually live in Europe but anyway good luck and I hope you find yourself a pair because they are lovely! All the best :)
ReplyDeleteYou are too sweet! Thank you so much! :) Have a wonderful day. xoxo
DeleteSo excited to watch this now! And Lauren, as to your alignment issue in the other post, I had that happening to me the other day, but then I moved all of them up and it fixed the issue. You could also try looking at the http tab and see if there are any odd spaces in there, though I think you know more about all that than I do. Sometimes to move pictures and prevent odd spaces and alignment issues, I have highlighted the coding for the picture and x and v to put it where I want it. (Obviously you can use the apple button instead of the since you are probably on a mac. I am sad to say the technical aspects of blogging and the time issues like that eat up are one of the factors that discourage me from blogging more, because like you, I am a bit particular about layout. I've had to let go of my vision on many a post, just for the sake of keeping balance in my life and being there for my family, though I have to say blogger has gotten more and more user friendly with their options in the compose mode. Call me if that made no sense.
ReplyDeleteThat should of said ctrl-x and ctrl-v, but I put the ctrl in arrows before and I guess it didn't like that. Ctrl is the apple or command button on the mac, if I recall.
ReplyDeleteOh I'd love to watch that! I just found your cute blog! I'm a new follower. Hope you'll stop by sometime!
