A Few Photos of My Weekend

1 // There is probably not a more welcome sight in my book than that of freshly baked goods in a bakery case. Key to my heart. Truly.

2 // I organized all my books this weekend. There is something just so appealing about a real book: the weight of the paper, the feeling of flipping through the pages, and looking at your bookmark against the spine to see how far you have left to go. I will never be able to jump on the e-book bandwagon. I just love physical books too much. In case you care, here's a rundown of what you see up there:

  • Dear Cary // Dyan Cannon
  • Audrey // Alexander Walker
  • Instant Love // Chronicle Books
  • Emma // Jane Austen
  • Remembering Grace // Howell Conant
  • Just My Type (a book about fonts) // Simon Garfield
  • Letters to Jackie: Condolences From a Grieving Nation // Ellen Fitzpatrick
  • Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? And Other Concerns // Mindy Kaling
  • The Great Life Photographers
  • The Great Gatsby // F. Scott Fitzgerald
  • Blog, Inc. // Joy Deangdeelert Cho
  • The Tiny Book of Tiny Stories // Hit RECORD & Joseph Gordon-Levitt
  • One Good Deed a Day // Chronicle Books
  • Les Miserables // Victor Hugo
  • Number the Stars // Lois Lowry
  • The Miracle Worker // William Gibson
  • Fantastic Plastic Cameras // Chronicle Books
  • Enchantment: The Life of Audrey Hepburn // Donald Spoto
  • Photos That Changed the World // Gifted from Emily!
  • Audrey Hepburn, an Elegant Spirit // Sean Hepburn Ferrer (Her Son!)
Not Pictured: Audrey 100 (a collection 100 portraits of Audrey Hepburn Selected by her family. This is a coffee table book I will keep for my whole life), Breakfast at Tiffany's: the 50th Anniversary Companion, and lots of nonfiction, manuals, and guidebooks on my camera, CS6, final cut pro, DSLR video, etc.  I'm still learning that stuff! ;)

3 // A wonderful trip to the Washington DC temple. How about that moon in the blue sky? Breathtaking.

    1. Alice! I really liked that book. I found it taught a lot about exposure that helped me in manual photography as well. Plus, it's just really pretty to read.
