finally out of a rut

it's amazing how your attitude and level of inspiration can affect your creativity. also, i know it's kind of ridiculous, but for me my haircut fits into that list too. i will explain.

since august, i've been kind of in a creative rut; actually make that most of the summer. i usually find that my go to cure is some frozen chocolate chips and a chick flick, and if that doesn't work i usually take a few days off of the goals mindset and just let myself take a little breather. i have a lot of interests and hobbies, and sometimes you need to let yourself relax and recharge.

eh, it wasn't really working.

some things i really poured my efforts into weren't really working out. i researched and learned all summer about video production with a dslr, and editing it. i just about sold my soul to get enrolled into a certain photography class (so many hoops to jump through!)

i just got really disappointed when things weren't working out the way i had intended.

so, even though the class isn't working out the way i had intended, it opened the door to taking two other ones, starting tonight. and those videos might just be finally coming together, (500) days of summer and balboa island style!

and now, back to the haircut. yep, i did it. i chopped my bangs again. but this time i'm keeping them for a while, i think they look better this way. and yes, goodbye to like 6 inches. i mean good riddance. i feel like a new woman!

here's to sticking out the hard weekends and the teachers who tell you your art is "wrong"!

{here's some self portraits i took today, fringe and all}
