now i promise, i'm already pretty good, and i've never not known how to boil water like the average teenager. ha! i cook and bake all the time, just not as often as i'd love to.
solution: i made my own cookbook with all my favorite recipes it it. it's kind of a tradition that the kids in our family assemble their 'cookbook' right before their sophmore year of college, when they'll be cooking for themselves. i just got an early start on mine. this way i can have quite the array of recipes when the time comes.
my mom was telling me about a good thing to do on your recipes; write notes on the margins. for example, the number of minutes different on an air bake pan, any alterations to the ingredients, or the response from the family, ex: 'parents enjoyed, kids not so fond.'
my dad's response, "wow! thats a great idea. when are you going to make all these delicious recipes? [so i can enjoy them]" nice and supportive, hahaha.
and as we all know, one of the most important parts of any cookbook: the covers!

nice and thick already, no?
